Gamers love changing their usernames according to latest trends. Here’s a guide to changing your Minecraft username on all platforms.

Choosing the ideal Minecraft username can be a complex task for players who love the game’s multiplayer side. Here’s how to change your Minecraft username for Java and Bedrock editions on Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms.

While some players love owning the same username for decades, others like to shake things up every once in a while. It is safe to assume that the Minecraft community contains both these factions. The sandbox game allows players to make an empire alone and also team up with their friends.

If you don’t feel right about your Minecraft username, here’s how you change it easily.

Minecraft Bedrock edition is available on a wide range of platforms like Xbox, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and PlayStation. Follow these steps to change your username according to your platform:

Your Minecraft username on Xbox is basically your Microsoft account’s gamer tag. Here’s how to change it:

Changing your Xbox gamer tag is free for the first time but it can cost up to $10 after that.

Your PlayStation network name is your Minecraft username on PlayStation. Here’s how to change it:

You can also do this on a PS4 console by going to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Profile > Online ID.

For a PS5 console, go to Settings > Users and Account > Account > Profile > Online ID.

Changing your PSN username is free once but Sony charges you for it thereafter.

Android and iOS players can change their Minecraft Pocket Edition username by following these steps:

Your Minecraft username on the Nintendo Switch is your console’s profile name. Follow these steps to change it:

The Minecraft Java edition is only available on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Follow these steps to change your username:

You can change your Minecraft username for free through this method but it only allows you to do it once every 30 days.

Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Mojang and Minecraft, the developers of the sandbox game are actively encouraging users to migrate their Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts. This won’t change how they play the game but is a way to ensure better security through double-factor authentication.

As a result, having a Microsoft account is the most convenient way to perform tasks such as changing your Minecraft username.

These Hero items are special cards in FUT as they utilize unique chemistry attributes. They offer league-specific chemistry and provide a stronger connection to players within the same league.

Movement is king in Apex Legends and this controller layout will give you a leg up on the enemy during Season 14.

Apex Legends Season 14 is well underway, and if you’re looking to gain an advantage over your opponents or keep up with players using mouse and keyboard, then this controller layout may give you a leg up on the enemy.

Apex Legends Season 14 has brought a variety of changes and new content to the battle royale. With Ranked Leagues getting some changes, and the new Recon Legend Vantage keeping things interesting in the Legend meta, having the best possible controller layout on the game is more important than ever.

While mastering your Legend, perfecting your aim, and learning spots are all supremely important in the hunt for victories, movement is king in Apex Legends. It can be the difference between winning a gunfight or heading back to the lobby disappointed.

Whether you’re using a controller or keyboard, making sure you have the right button layout is extremely important if you hope to become a movement master.

For those using customized controllers like Scuf, button layout may not be as much of an issue, as these controllers have much more freedom than the regular stock controllers.

For those using standard controllers to play, the best layout to master movement is the Evolved setting. This layout changes your crouch to the right stick and your jump to the left bumper.

Having your crouch on the right stick will allow you to crouch spam, a very important move when it comes to winning fights in Apex Legends. Although this will take some getting used to, as keeping your aim on point while crouch spamming is fairly difficult, once you are comfortable with it you will see an instant improvement in your mobility.

Evolved will also change your jump button to the left bumper, which again will take some getting used to, however, the freedom to jump, climb, and stay mobile while keeping your thumb on the right stick is vital to improving your game in Apex Legends.

As for the Movement / Aiming section in the settings, we’ve found that the Classic Response Curve is the best all-around and feels most comfortable in-game. It’s also important to have your Look Deadzone at a minimum so either None or Small depending on your stick drift.

We’ve opted for Vibration On, but a lot of players may find it easier to have it Off if they feel it is affecting their ability to control recoil. Advanced Look Controls gives the player much more advanced customization options that a player will need to spend a lot of time with in order to perfect, which can be beneficial. However, we find the default options enough to get the most out of your aim and movement.

Of course, these settings are a great template for players, but you will most likely want to play around with the Look Sensitivity and ADS Sensitivity until you find what works for you.

There are a lot of Gameplay settings in Apex Legends, but these are the most relevant for optimizing performance on Controller. First off, we think it’s beneficial for Button Hints to be On, as new players may want to be reminded of how to perform certain actions.

Having said that, more experienced players may want to switch this setting and Crosshair Damage Feedback Off to reduce HUD clutter. For Weapon Auto-Cycle on Empty, we feel having this setting On means players don’t have to worry about swapping weapons manually when they run out of ammo mid-fight. This will automatically switch your weapon so you can focus on getting the kill.

Some players like Auto Sprint, especially if their analog sticks are stiff. However, we feel this setting is better switched Off, as it is much easier to walk slowly and make more discreet plays.

For those Valkyrie mains, having your Jetpack Control on Hold makes it much easier to make quick escapes and movements with your Jetpack than Toggle.

Field of View or FOV can definitely affect a player’s aim on controller. It’s beneficial to have this setting higher than the default value of 70, as it can increase the amount you see around you. However having it too high can affect a player’s aim negatively, as it reduces the size of objects and enemies that are far away.

With that being said, there’s definitely a sweet spot for controller players, but ultimately this setting is a preference and players will need to figure out what works best for them.

If you’d like to know what the sweet spot for FOV in Apex Legends is, check out our guide on the best FOV for Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Season 14 is here, but which Legends are dominating Season 14 of Respawn’s battle royale so far?

Season 14 of Apex Legends has tons of characters to choose from to enjoy its several maps. But who has the top Season 14 pick rates in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale shooter?

Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its battle royale offering. The game suffered a notable lull when Call of Duty: Warzone launched, but with many popular streamers such as NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect continuing to support the game, Apex has grown expeditiously.

There are now a whopping 22 different Legends to choose from, giving players a headache before each game. With Season 14 now here, the new Legend Vantage has already knocked some fan-favorite characters out of the running.

Let’s see how the current roster’s pick rates are looking to give us an idea of the most popular Legends in Apex Legends Season 14.

This is our complete list of every character pick in Apex Legends, and we’ve ranked them in order to let you know which are favored.

Here is every Apex Legends pick rate in Season 14 ranked, as of August 19, 2022, according to Apex Legends Status:

Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 14.

Bloodhound nearly always stays in and around the 8-11% mark the seasons go on, and they have dropped slightly to 7.8%. Don’t let that put you off though, as they are easily the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends thanks to their tracking tools and incredible skills, plus, their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.

Pathfinder has consistently been one of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 7.9%, and counting, for quite some time now.

As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation. He consistently manages to stay in the top 5 as a result.

Another starting Legend, Wraith has been a consistent pick throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime, and she has taken the number three with an 8.9% pick rate in Season 14.

Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan favorite in Apex Legends Season 14.

With a 9.8% pick rate, the speed demon has been dropped to the number two spot but continues his reign as one of the most popular Legends in Season 14, fluctuating between the top two places.

Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away.

But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.

Of course, it’s the brand-new Legend Vantage that takes the top spot in Apex Legends Season 14. With a 12% pick rate, Vantage has stolen the show from other top Legends such as Octane and Valkyrie.

Vantage’s incredible popularity is probably due to her being new, but she’s not to be trifled with either. Her Sniper Rifle is an incredibly strong weapon, she’s able to wall run, and has a direct counter to Mirage.

How her pick rate will change throughout Season 14 remains to be seen, but she’s well-worth using on the overhauled Kings Canyon.

That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 14. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, altering the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.

We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks and don’t forget to check out how to get the Twitch Prime skin for the month of August.
